I thought LSU had a national championship in 1935, or is that disputed?

That was pre-NCAA tournament. Alabama, Missouri, and I'm pretty sure vandy also claim national titles in the 1930s like LSU does but since they were before the tournament was invented, it's unclear as to whether they actually count or not.

The 1935 Campbell's Soup Poll or some nonsense that isn't even the accepted Helms standard.
