No. OM has always been a program that was down and MSU was never that much better. Both schools will never be at the top consistently

Ole Miss may have always been a program with down years but they haven't always been a program facing crippling sanctions that are going to scare away the other in state prospects. State has also improved their ability to keep a lot of top prospects in state since Mullen has been at state which is something that has not always been the case. OM being on major probation will only help State. Probably 1-2 more top MS prospects per year, which is a big deal.
