You can't really compare MSU of the past with Dan Mullen teams. Ole Miss being down will be great for State. Ed O at LSU may help as well. Sunlin definately helps being at A&M. We will still inexplicably let a few of the top recruits go to Ole Miss because no matter how bad they may be, some people have deep rooted loyalties.

It used to be if you were bad in this conference you were Mississippi State bad but we have started to string together some lasting success we hadn't seen in a long time. Now we are a 6-8 win type team. You may turn around in a couple years and we are a consistent 9-10 win team

Dak becoming a NFL favorite + Ole Miss probation is about to do wonders for State's program. If Mullen can keep his recruiting rankings in the 10-15 range then watchout. He's a vastly underrated coach and does more with less than just about anyone.
