if you are a fan of baseball, you should be a fan of college baseball. yes, it is different from the pro's but so is college football different from the NFL. aside from the metal bats, it is almost identical and very fun to watch. baseball is baseball. I like every level of the game. I once watched young girls play cabbage ball in New Orleans and loved the game. those girls could play.
if you have played baseball at least at the high school level, you can greatly admire players' skills and you also know what's actually going on out there. I call that the "hidden game"; the part of the game non-players don't know exist; the signs by the offense and defense, the pitching change decisions, etc, etc. great stuff.

The talent makes college baseball hard to adapt too, but the atmosphere is kick arse
