What your saying is that it comes down to money. If that veil is lifted then college football
loses and the biggest loser may be the NCAA. At what point do the major conferences
decide to pull out of the NCAA ? Why invest millions only to have the NCAA ruin your
investment with what in the Ole Miss case are actually minor although numerous
violations ? The NCAA might be overplaying their hand.

Yea, if you haven't noticed just about everything comes down to money now. College football is a business first and foremost. I think as fans our judgment on that is clouded. But when hundreds of millions of dollars are involved it is most certainly about the $$.

So Ole Miss invests what 30 million or so in a new stadium etc. What is that compared to the 100s of millions the rest of cfb brings in for the tv networks etc.

Why do you think the primary thing conferences are looking at when bringing a new team in is the TV market they bring? $$$$.

Who brings more viewers? Alabama or Ole Miss/Miss State combined.

It is a good story if you have a nobody compete for a championship occasionally, but if you start to threaten the status quo every year I assure you the NCAA will be close behind.
