LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The Arkansas Supreme Court on Thursday struck down a city’s ordinance banning discrimination based on a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity, but it stopped short of saying whether a state law aimed at prohibiting such local LGBT protections is constitutional.

The justices reversed a judge’s decision that Fayetteville’s anti-discrimination ordinance didn’t violate a state law prohibiting cities from enacting protections not covered by state law. Fayetteville, a liberal enclave in northwestern Arkansas, is one of several cities that approved local protections for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in response to the 2015 law.

Thank the lord. Jason Rapert and company's efforts to have a powerful central government tell locals how to live their life has been preserved!

Celebrate!

Oh dear- pussy hats here, pussy hats there, pussy hats everywhere.

That said, I do think Rapert, etc need to go and be gone. And I have no problem with protecting gays and trannies- I don't care about anyone's sexual orientation.

There'll be a protest.

Another protest.

And then a protest after that.

I know why Starbucks wants the corner at College & Dickson. They get a "gameday crowd" twice a week now with all the pussy-hats that congregate there lately.

Good... No one needed any kind of protection from anything. This is all one big media creation. My God how people go insane about 0.3% of the population is beyond me.
