Going last week of Feb. Anyone been? Any recommendations on activities other than skiing? Thanks.

I've been, but it was nearly 20 years ago. I had a blast, but can't remember where we went when not skiing. Seems like there was maybe a gorge or canyon there that we hiked down? May be confusing that with someplace else though.

Go to the Taos pueblo. Eat some green chiles on pretty much everything. Take a hot air balloon ride down in Santa Fe.

Taos has great skiing but is a really small sleepy town for the most part. Make sure you spend some time driving around northern New Mexico - it is amazingly beautiful. The town of Red River is a great place to hang out for a day as well.

I've been there. My first tip is that you can save some money buying tickets at https://au.lowcost.club/. To be honest, there are lots of things to do or even to see : Taos Pueblo, El Rio Grande del Norte National Monument, Harwood Museum of Art. I liked that museum, especially the collection of sacred carved figures known as "santos".And food, you just must try local food.

My daughter has lived there for several years now. It is a cool place --if you like laid back, funky. Think Key West or Sante Fe 50 yrs ago. People are diverse, free spirited, but friendly. If you like outdoors, lots to do. I really cant remember any of the names of restaurants, but several good ones and not high priced or pretentious -- particularly if you like New Mexico style food, which I do.
Ride out to the Mesa, cross the Rio Grande Gorge -- usually local artists selling things by the bridge. Good local brewery with good food out that way too.
I go a couple of times a year and love the funky spirit.
Ski Valley is a great place too

Weird. I was randomly on the Toas Wikipedia page last night. Don't even remember how I got there.

The Vietnam War Museum between Taos and Eagle Nest is pretty good.

I have a few friends that are leaving today to go out there. They are doing a day of skiing, a day of horseback riding, with some hiking mixed in.

That sounds good. We don't want to ski the whole time either.
