Bielema has done a good job at Arkansas IMO. They are at least competitive in a very tough West division. His problem is he needs to recruit better and that's a tough job at Arkansas.

totally agree. it seems like jeff long is giving coach bielema plenty of time to install his system and fix he mess petrino/john l. smith left him. jeff long is a smart man.

There are other problems as well.

With us playing the pro style system on offense, you can get to the point of having to outscore your opponent every game. Our defense was atrocious the last 2 years. With a moderately decent defensive showing, we would have won 9+ game each of the last 2 seasons.

and, there is a correlation between winning and recruiting. FIX THE D BAUX!!!

There were numerous games that I wouldn't describe as "competitive" last season. Getting beat fifty six to motherfricking three is not a product of recruiting either. Arkansas recruits like a P5 school, not a MAC school (oh shite Bert lost to one of those with a team full of talented upperclassmen ).
