I agree that TJ is an asshat... but I'm not sure why Randy Shannon all of a sudden has now become the be all and end all of coaching and recruiting evaluation for the Gators?

He's been great coaching linebackers for us, but he was still a failure as a head coach and hasn't exactly been bringing in 5-star linebackers.

I don't feel that way about Randy Shannon. The truth is none of us have any idea how good or bad these new hires will turn out to be.
I simply stated that I trusted his opinion on the new hire, because he had in fact worked with Bell.
Unlike TJ a internet troll, who until an hour ago has never even heard of the guy. Also, I do in fact believe that without Randy Shannon on staff our recruiting would be much worse. UF did a great job in S. Fla this recruiting cycle.

I do agree to an extent, but Charlie Strong knows a thing or two about defense as well, and he hired him to be his DB coach.

Mac had to upgrade the recruiting ability of the staff, the only one that's really a question in that area is Davis. That said, in all likelihood Nord is being replaced as well and I wouldn't be surprised to see another known recruiter in his spot.
