Alabama early signing day guide, when top targets will decide

The new world of December signing in college football is about to become a reality.

High school seniors can ink those National Letters of Intent from Wednesday-Friday in the first early signing period for football players. How it will all play out remains somewhat of a mystery mostly because there's no precedent.

Though Nick Saban is no fan of this shift in the recruiting calendar, he'll still bring in the majority of the 2018 signing class by Friday. Saban previously said the Crimson Tide will sign 22 total for this recruiting cycle.

Alabama currently has the No. 7 signing class in the 247Sports composite rankings.

How much drama this signing day will bring is one of the great question marks after the circus early February became..

-- Jalen Cunningham (3-star) from Odenville is considered a favorite for Ole Miss with Alabama and Tennessee in the mix, 247Sports reported. He'll make his pledge at 11 a.m. CT.

-- TE Dominick Wood-Anderson (3-star) will decide between Alabama, Tennessee, Texas A&M and others on Dec. 20. Wood-Anderson is the nation's top tight end prospect coming out of Arizona Western College, the same school ex-Tide DL Jesse Williams attended.
