Terrace Marshall, Parkway, 6-3, 200

Marshall is a consensus elite receiver in the 2018 class. He is rated as a top three prospect at his position by every recruiting outlet, and the type of talent LSU needs to bring in to revamp its wide receiver corps. Marshall released a new top 5, which included LSU, along with Texas A&M, Alabama, Florida State and Texas. LSU seemed like the leader early on, but the Tigers could end being caught in a heated recruiting battle with some of the other contenders.

Texas A&M is going to be a contender for his services. He has visited College Station on numerous occasions this spring and summer, and a strong showing by the Aggies this fall could put them in a good position to land the premier receiver. Success on the field is a must, though, as mounting pressure for head coach Kevin Sumlin to win win now and win big will ultimately determine his future. If Sumlin stays, which will be a product of on-field success, things could get really interesting.

Justin Watkins, Florida, 6-0, 175

This former LSU, Florida and Texas commit finds himself back on the open market, with a recent decommitment from Texas being the latest news surrounding Watkins. This news was expected for me, with the chatter behind the scenes involving LSU's resurgence in his recruitment being a major factor.

Watkins has been extremely unpredictable throughout his recruitment, but time is forcing him to shift his focus a bit. The talk out of Florida is that LSU and Alabama are the two teams to watch out for, with Florida State also remaining in the mix a bit. Three sources on the ground stated they believe Watkins ends up at LSU, with one going with the Crimson Tide. A source at LSU has been steadfast in his stance that they are the team to beat. Keep an eye on Watkins.
