The Tart-Spencer news was a big kick below the belt this morning. Any way you slice it, that's not good news for us.

Andres Fox is no longer planning a Summer commitment.
That's good news, IMO. I'm interested to see how he develops his senior year. Has a lot of upside. He could rise to the top of the board with a big senior year.

He tried the "insider" route a few years ago and was quickly put in his place

No one knows. All I keep seeing is he is in the Pacific Time Zone so don't expect it to be early.
Rivals board says 2pm Central. If they're wrong it could be 2pm Pacific.

Every month, SEC Country will outline the three biggest items that the Alabama coaching staff must accomplish on the recruiting trail in order to make that a reality. Here is the to-do list for August:

Land its running back of the 2018 class
Running back isn’t a priority for Alabama in the 2018 class because of the depth currently in Tuscaloosa, but the Crimson Tide would like to add one prospect at the position this year. The main target is 4-star prospect Asa Martin from Austin High School (Decatur, Ala.).
Martin is scheduled to announce his commitment on Aug. 24, and Alabama, Auburn, Clemson and Florida are the finalists. The Crimson Tide have been viewed as the favorites to land Martin.
Alabama offered Martin in April, and things have progressed positively for the Tide.
Before the Alabama offer, Martin told SEC Country that he didn’t think the team’s offense was a good fit for his style of play. A few visits and a few conversations with offensive coordinator Brian Daboll changed his perspective.
“When you look at college football, they’re sending all their guys to the league, especially running backs,” Martin said. “When they offered me — plus it’s my home state — of course they became a major factor.”
It should be noted that 5-star Georgia running back commit Zamir White still will be recruited by Alabama until he signs his letter of intent.

Secure a major piece to the future front 7
Cameron Latu, a 4-star Jack linebacker from Olympus High School (Salt Lake City), will announce his commitment on Friday at 2 p.m. ET. The expected finalists for his decision are Alabama and Southern California.
Latu, who has visited Tuscaloosa three times, told SEC Country that his mother, Jill Argust, wants him to commit to the Crimson Tide.
“She wants me to go to Alabama,” Latu said. “She loves [outside linebackers coach] Tosh [Lupoi] and thinks he can take me to where I want to be. She wants me to go be myself and be a man.”
I fully expect Latu will pick Alabama. He visited for the Champions Cookout two weekends ago and may have given strong indications to Tide staff members that he would commit to them (hint hint).

Get DT Coynis Miller to commit this month instead of holding off
Coynis Miller, a 4-star defensive tackle from Jackson-Olin High School (Birmingham, Ala.), has considered committing in August, but it’s unlikely that happens.
Miller still seems torn on what he wants to do, as Alabama, Auburn and Florida are his top contenders. He is one of Alabama’s top defensive line targets, and the Tide have prioritized him strongly. He has told SEC Country that offensive line coach Brent Key, his primary recruiter, contacts him daily.
One person close to Miller recently told SEC Country that he believed the in-state standout will choose Alabama, but one person close to the program has expressed his doubts in that statement because Miller’s coach, Tim Vakakes, is an Auburn grad and big supporter of the Tigers.
Getting Miller back on campus this month will be very important for Alabama’s chances.

He is a big AU supporter, but his dad is his DC and was my DC in HS. That's a good family. They'll encourage the kid to make his own decision about what is best for him, in my opinion. That's how his dad handled it with our group that had offers.
As for DWA - does he have 2 or 3 years eligibility remaining?
