Moses and Allen were higher on Bama's board then Phillips and they stole them from LSU's back yard.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but

From August 1st:

Despite five finalists in no specific order from Phillips, sources inform BamaOnLine that the Top247 ‘backer is a “heavy Bama lean” at the present moment. One source went on to say that it would be a “major surprise” if it were not Alabama and that if today were National Signing Day, it would “for sure” be the Tide.

October 3rd:

Alabama landed its fourth linebacker commitment in its 2017 class on Sunday when five-star ‘backer Dylan Moses surprised the recruiting world and committed to the Tide.

Moses, VanDarius Cowan, Markail Benton and Gary Johnson make up a linebacker class that has an average rating of .9606 – not bad coming off a recruiting cycle that saw Alabama sign two five-star ‘backers in Ben Davis and Mack Wilson.

So the question now turns to what’s next at the position? At one point it was thought the Tide would take six at LB, but now sitting at 21 commitments with major need on the defensive line remaining, numbers are tight. Here, BamaOnLine takes a look at remaining targets at linebacker and where they stand with the Tide.

Christopher Allen, LB, Baton Rouge (La.) Southern Lab

If you haven’t watched Allen’s tape, do yourself a favor and turn it on today. The 6-foot-4, 234-pounder is one of the most physical players in the class. Allen, who visited Tuscaloosa over the weekend, named Bama his leader in the spring, but recently said LSU was tied. The four-star prospect is waiting to see what the Tigers do at head coach to make his judgments on LSU. In the meantime he returned to Tuscaloosa over the weekend for the Kentucky game. Of the Moses commitment, Allen tells BOL that it doesn’t affect his outlook on Alabama at all, and the the thought of playing alongside Moses interests him. Allen is rated the No. 8 outside linebacker and the No. 117 overall player, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.

Jacob Phillips, LB, Nashville (Tenn.) East Nashville Magnet –

Phillips was another official visitor over the weekend in Tuscaloosa. The 6-foot-4, 228-pounder earned an offer from Alabama in June at camp, and has since picked up a lot of momentum to Alabama. It’s not clear how the Moses commit will affect Phillips’ standing on the Tide’s board, as the focus may turn to more Jack-type linebackers. Oklahoma is the 247Sports Crystal Ball favorite for the nation’s No. 7 inside linebacker.

Phillips Commits to Oklahoma on October 12th

Just because it's true doesn't mean Phillips isn't a good player though. Congrats on the pickup. Again.

You just quoted an article saying it wasn't clear where he stood, but now it's "true" that he was dropped down the board. That does nothing but reaffirm that it's speculation.

Also, Bama fans were just arguing that they don't even play the same position, but now having Moses commit affected Philips' standing.

You guys need to get on the same page and give this another shot later.
