I think the title last year changes everything. Think it's very possible he stays and becomes all-time legend king of Clemson.
The title at Clemson actually makes it even more likely for a few reasons.
1) He wants to stay there until Clay graduates HS if possible. That is like 5 years away.
2) Saban wants 2 more, so he's likely at Bama for 5-6 years
3) Dabo winning a title there allows him to one day leave and say "I did all you could have asked"
4) Dabo has always wanted the Bama job. Still does. His comments on the field after the game included phrase, "I love the University of Alabama" even in the moments after the game.
Dabo will be the first call and he will likely take it. If he doesn't, then I'd imagine Jimbo would get the next call. And he'd take it.

in other words, you are speculating and trying to read Dabo's mind, a man that you don't know.
He's said numerous times he likes to blossom where he is.
how do you Saban wants 2 more titles. lol I know he has never said that.

Hatfield resigned in 93 after CU refused to give him a 1 year contract extension after a 8-3 season. i think that he logically took that a sign he was going to be fired. Many CLemson fans never liked him, his personality was part of it, the other part is he replaced the popular Danny Ford.
you are the typical redneck Alabama fan who thinks Alabama is some big deal b/c you never left the state of ALabama. CU fired Danny Ford so obviously there are expectations including on the academic side and running a clean program side.
your premise seems to be that these coaches are not locked into contracts but the university pays a price if they fire the coach before the end of the contract. just b/c the school doesn't fire the coach as quickly as the fanbase wants doesn't mean the coach isn't under pressure. the coach knows if the fanbase hates him. to say there is no pressure to win at Clemson is delusional. not any current or former coach at Clemson would agree with that.
not one Alabama fan in 2008 thought Saban was going to win 4 titles in 8 years. now they act like they expect to win it it every year b/c they are alabama. lol

2-Who the hell said there was NO pressure to win at Clemson? I said the pressure was greater at ALABAMA than at Clemson..anybody short of a moron knoows this.
3- I thought you said that Saban isn't that great a coach, but the SEC is just not strong? Do you even read your own posts?
Finally, you continue to dodge my question about you even being around an SEC board. What's wrong?..did I hit a nerve?

you sure know a lot of coaches
how can one know Dabo and Jimbo Fisher? Seriously. What sort of group are you around that puts you around tier 1 college football coaches so often?
Not calling you a liar, just genuinely curious.

when is last time Clemson been to a Birmingham type bowl. u are so dumb.
have fun being back in the playoffs again b/c the SEC can't field competitive teams.
when Alabama can get through the SEC undefeated with a freshman QB who isn't a consistent passer, obviously the SEC as a conference is down.

this isn't your website. you act like you run it. I don't need your permission to post on here, redneck alabama control freak.
Saban is a good coach and the SEC hasn't been that good. these two things are not mutually exclusive. you are one rigid thinker.
why don't you demonstrate how you can measure 'pressure to win' and how you know for a fact that Bama has 'more pressure to win'. ? obviously that is a subjective thing. you are a homer.
you come across like you want to work me over with a baseball bat because i disagree with your Bama homerism. how you are the expert on Clemson, you have no affliation with people at Clemson.
if a university is paying a coach a ton of money, they are expecting results.

"i think most of Saban's success is due to fact the SEC has not been particularly good the last few years." Do you even remember posting this?....it's been in the last few hours.
If you honestly don't know that the Alabama HCing job carries more pressure than the Clemson job, then you have NO credibility on this or any other sports board.

yes, he can be a good coach but still benefited from a lack of competition in the conference. even good coaches loses a game every now and then.
you are an ALabama homer.
it is funny how you take it as a slight to Bama that a person doesn't think the Bama head coach has more pressure than coaches at other universities universities.
pressure is pressure. if a coach wants to keep his job, he knows that he needs to win.
