My wife spun out on I-70.
We decided to move our daughter to MU (xfer from Arky) on Friday, trying to beat the weather and forego the other option of moving on Monday with 30,000 other kids coming back.
The plan looked good at the start. Got to Columbia moved her in and quickly headed back to STL. But the weather turned quick.
Passed some bad spin outs. One car looked like it tumbled 20 times, ending up about 35yrds from I-70 on it's hood. Another big Chevy truck tumbled off, but landed right side up on the service road. A couple big rigs on their side. Half dozen other cars and trucks ditched.
My wife was following me, and we were only going @ 35mph. Came to a turn in the road, 18 wheeler crunched in the median, I slowed and started to slip. Since I couldn't use my brake, she didn't realize I had slowed. We were on solid ice. She tapped her brakes and spun out.
The car had minor damage clipping the median fence. I ran back and somehow drove the car out of the ditch.

Springfield got some ice Friday and Saturday. By Sunday it was just rain. SEMO didn't even get any ice. I just stayed home until it was gone.
