And, like I said, Clemson made all the plays. After the game last year, it just kind of felt like the same thing except the big play meter shifted over to Clemson, and it helped them win. Not really mad at all. Disappointed, obviously, but it was not hard to admit that team earned the title.

That's exactly how I felt last year. Our boys played their hearts out, but Alabama took advantage of every mistake and won the game with 4 huge plays.

Losing on a fluke play is the kind of loss that lingers and sticks with folks for a while. Maybe not more painful, but more memorable, at least.

What I find so crazy with regards to Bama, and even Clemson last year, is how it just takes 1 or 2 guys out with injury to totally disrupt how a defense would normally play and affect the rotation. If Eddie Jackson's healthy, I'm guessing that Hunter (as much as I love him) probably isn't tearing up a reserve DB.

But the thing is, those types of injuries only really show up when you are playing another team that is at the very top of their game with a multiple of great players.

Eddie's absence wasn't even a blip on the radar against anybody else - and we played some solid teams post-injury. But Clemson's army of great receivers and QB made it look like we had a walk-on scrub out there in his place. Great teams take advantage.

After walking out with Clemson folks last year and dealing with them and how gracious they were, but how disappointed I could tell they were, it really wasn't hard at all to feel good for Dabo, your fans and your players. It really frickin sucked, because losing on the last play on the national championship game with a chance to go back to back is not fun, but honestly if we had to do it I'd pick Clemson every time. So, with all that, it was pretty easy to wake up the next morning and just kind of sigh and move on.

Didn't you guys have a couple of defensive players get injured? I'm fairly sure they would have made a difference especially on that out pass to OJ Howard.
