The reality is Tua COULD beat him out. However, usually the most growth players (especially QBs) experience is from their first year to their second year. The above reference to Sims is also instructive. Remember how god-awful he looked in the spring game? Then turned into an SEC champion QB. Hurts is miles past Sims development at this stage.

Some of you need to get come back to reality. You act like the kid never hit a WR with a pass ever. His freshman year was just fine, he'll have a qb coach and roll into next year a better passer. Again most of his issue is seeing the field and stepping into the pocket to throw. Easily fixed with instruction. The notion that he is awful and all this is ridiculous. He will be just fine. As another poster said the biggest leap is from fr to soph.
