I don't think he regressed at all. I think teams stopped defending him as a dual threat QB and started defending him as a single threat QB. Fortunately he has time to work on his passing between now and August.

This....we saw what a true dual threat looked like last night.

We finished the season against 4 top 10 defenses. We were largely forced to abandon a large part of wide game, which would soften up the middle of the defenses.

I'm also throwing this out there. I think the Auburn game scared Saban. We had started to open up the playbook, but we seemed to throw away like 80% of it after that game.
