I mean it's obvious it's over saturated! When are people gonna start losing money on this shite!

Expanding the playoffs to an 8 team field would remedy the situation somewhat. It really has a lot to do with times of the games and match-ups. The Rose Bowl seems to always pack the house as well.

No one is going to lose money on it. ESPN owns almost all of these bowls, so its their money, and what they spend to put these bowls on, they will get back from ads. It doesnt matter if its East Carolina vs North Texas in Idaho at noon on a Wednesday, ESPN will make money because they will get a heck of a lot better ratings for it than they would if they replayed First Take or the Crossfit Championships, and that turns into added buys from advertisers.
