Per College FB data warehouse, Arkansas is #23 all time; TAMU is 20, Washington is 21, Pitt is 22, Stanford is 24. Our ranks are dragged down by the late 19th and early 20th and 21st century

CFBDW is an imperfect system, just as polls are. But the grouping is pretty tight Around us.

Washington is not a markedly superior program to Arkansas. Neither is TAMU or Stanford or Pitt. Yet many of us willingly accept TAMU or Stanford or now even Washington having higher expectations than we should. I disagree

The above programs are solid second-tier. If we decide to be serious about winning, we can get close to a Natty once or twice in a decade, which is good enough imo.

But in the last 10 years or so, FB has gotten much much more difficult to win, and I don't see that we have the will to really try to compete in this game.

This is nothing more than complacency and fear of failure masked in a layer "we really cant do better than this" defeatism
