True. The sheltering of Fournette doesn't come close to the gump insecurity over McCarron. That will never be rivaled. The tears they wept when McCarron was given pity votes at the Heisman ceremony was unbelievable. The guy was the definition of mediocre and gumps couldn't deal with it.

The fact that he was even remotely considered for the heisman is one of the sole reasons many people today consider the heisman a joke

Mccarron is responsible for that

I think this is not true...and - even if so - these 2 players' CFB accomplishments are considerably different.

The difference was AJ was never given "once in a generation player" title. Bama fans defended him from the morons calling him average or less.

The man won 2 rings and a NFL playoff game and yet you are still calling the Hiesman a joke because he was a finalist?
