Summers should move to QC staf. We need a coach and recruiter at OL.

Summers is fine with me either way.
Nord is my main concern at this point. There's also rumors out there that McElwain may not be pleased with Dixon. (McElwain spends most his time in position drills with the WR's helping Dixon coach them up).

Hearing more and more this might not happen. Looking for a OC job not a CO-OC job.

Why not give him the OC job and make Nuss the QB coach, Locksley doesn't have a great track record at OC but if track record mattered Nuss would have never been hired coming off being fired by Bama and Michigan in back to back seasons.

Anybody have access to Fightin Gators on scout? Bob Redman just posted what he calls "important coaching news" for us but it's on their pay site. Anybody that wants to share would be appreciated.

From Scout:
I shared a lot of this in chat last night and want to bring what I can to the boards as well...
The more I hear, the more I believe there will be three new additions to the staff (or more).
We know of one vacancy and on defense and as I have shared for a while i know that Skipper is willing and even wants to eventually go to defense, so a single new addition doesn't necessarily have to come from the defensive side of the ball.
I will say despite the rumor that Summers interviewed with South Carolina, I personally doubt it. Think about it, why would Summers have to interview with Muschamp and Roper? I am leaning toward Summers staying, but that doesn't mean that there couldn't be some kind of set up like at Alabama where Brent Key coaches the interior linemen and Mario Cristobal coaches tackles and tight ends. I think that is a good possibility. And then maybe Summers stays but moves to the secondary staff.
I think Mac by not making any "public" moves leaves the doors open for different scenarios as they enter the coaching convention. For example, by not naming Randy Shannon the DC today, he can dangle that fruit to others and get their attention to talk to them. Power move if that is actually what is going on.
I think a lot of the names we are hearing here are seriously in play.
I wouldn't rule out Mike Locksley, JaJuan Seider, Mario Cristobal, Jeff Stoutland, Charlie Partrdge, Ron Zook, or Marquel Blackwell. I believe these are the hottest names on the staff list at the moment. Let me know if you have questions about others and I may need to insert them on this list.
As always, there is nothing harder to project than these coaching changes. Until that dotted line is signed, it doesn't mean anything. Unlike recruiting, these guys aren't doing public interviews stating who they like or they don't like. You have to rely on back channel information and being wrong about them is the norm.
As I said in chat, I feel extremely confident in one coach, so much so that I think things would have to be undone. My confidence in a second coach has gone up quite a bit and that one would be a bit of a surprise.
I keep hearing something on OLine coaches and the two mentioned above, but that one goes back to what kind of move are they going to make in the duties at the position.
I hope this clears some of the stuff up. I can tell you when I look at what I believe is happening, I think Mac is swinging for the fences, when he wasn't really allowed t do so before. Whether he hits the ball over that fence, we should know in a week or so.

I'm a bit worried the "Bama coaches coming soon" thing is going to end up like the "Bama commit is in the verge of flipping" rumors we hear every year - remember when Muschamp was hired and supposedly Kirby was thinking about coming as well or when Mac was supposedly bringing in Billy Napier as the OC instead the guy Saban fired?
Don't get me wrong- Locksley or even better Cristobal would be awesome but I'm skeptical its going to happen (Locksley seems more likely)

So locksley is not coming? Color me shocked.

Yep pretty much take whatever you hear from these so called insiders and reverse it. I heard on the 1st from someone other than one of these stupid twitter insiders that it wasn't happening. Yet those idiots kept saying any day its gonna be announced.
