Millenial? With their safe places, participation trophies, and playdoh stress relievers, they scare pretty damn easy these days.

Can you explain

We do share the same degree. But you are a lot newer to this following recruiting thing than you like to portray online.

There is no early enrollee limit. There is a backcounting limit. Not all early enrollees can count back to the 2016 class. But heck... all 25 recruits on our board can enroll early if their high schools let them.

Let's walk through this step by step because a degree doesnt make you smart...
Why would you tell a kid who you recruit as an early enrollee that you don't have room for him in January, but you may have room later in the year? There is no early enrollee scholarship limit. There is no 85 cap in January, May, or June. Just the August enrollment.

It means that we don't have room for him in August, presently (count the number of tailbacks on the roster and know that we don't want more eating up the 85 limit come August).

We are "asking" (by refusing a guaranteed spot) him to wait and see if there is room in February to sign his LOI and enroll in May or June. But how is that different from enrolling in January? It isnt. Unless something changes (a kid is busted and kicked off the team after spring break, a recruit doesn't get the grades to go D1, a running back gets injured in the spring and takes a medical hardship, Dell Mcgee takes a job as OC at Western Kentucky and a tailback wants to transfer or Swift changes his mind and goes to Penn State).

We aren't asking him to wait because we have room later. We are refusing to accept his commitment that guarantees a spot on the 85 in January and telling him he has to wait because we don't have room... period. Something has to change for him to get a different acceptance in February or May or June. His parents picked up that his space is no longer available (but could open back up after things that may happen). And they did what was right for their boy. They got him to UT.

I'm not going to get into the math.

However , you are just wrong about Carter. He has a scholly offer, just cannot EE.
The 85 cap is for each academic period , not just Fall. So assuming the 4 jrs were leaving for the draft and not be in school in the spring, then those spots would have been available; but now they are using their scholarships. Not all EE count back, but at the same time they all count to the 85 cap each academic period. Scholarships are not 4yr guaranteed at UGA, they are 1 yr which can be renewed.
