You could have just said:
Damn, you're right. What was I thinking? Thomas isn't an ordinary 5'10 pass catcher and it really was silly of me to think continuing to recruit him is taking resources away from recruiting linemen.
But I'll take what you said as code for that. I realize it's rare for people to admit their mistakes online.
