I think Antonio Blakeney has the talent to have a long career in the NBA. The kid can score with the best of them and is freaky athletic.

Blakeney has explosive step and hop to the rim, creates easy looks and range for himself, still has a ways to go in many aspects of his game, and needs to develop more range and launch spots to NBA consistency in shooting pct..

But, it's clear why Pitino so coveted him so much.

Also, LSU's Reath and Sampson have All-SEC possibilities in the near future..coming along quickly.

More importantly, the NBA has become a shooters league. If you have any kind of size at your position and can shoot then you could get a shot. There used to always be room in the NBA for freaky athletic types that could come in and play lock down defense while developing a offensive identity the first few seasons in the league (type of players SEC routinely puts out). Now there may be one roster spot available for a guy like that in today's NBA.
