As someone who's involved with AAU, I get to watch a lot of talent. I'm just saying, while heron and Wiley are good, they are not NBA guys. I think Purifoy is probably the best of the three
I haven't seen enough of Wiley to form an opinion, but I think Heron has a brighter NBA future than Purifoy. He is a more polished and efficient player. To your point, none of them are 1 and done or lottery type players though. Probably late 1st or second rounders at best.

The problem is not talent in the SEC. The problem is having to develop that talent into functional basketball skill. UK and other blue bloods can get the talented guys that know how to really play. The rest of the SEC (save UF during Donavan era) have had to take the guy that is freakishly talented but needs to be polished and coached up for 2 years to become a guy that can play with 9 other guys on the court...it has not been very successful the last decade. I will speak for AU since I follow them but it is obvious that the talent level and natural basketball skill of the players that Pearl is bringing in is vastly superior to anything we have had since the late 80s. My opinion on Heron is that he will probably be an NBA player due to the fact he is 6'5 and a very skilled lefty although he isn't a freak athlete. Purifoy has lottery potential but I could just as easily see him not getting any better than he is. Wiley is an old school big man and I am not sure there is a place in the NBA right now for that type of player unless he develops and 18 foot jump shot. No way to tell on big men right now.

Your right my mistake, I meant to say Heron is the best out of those guys not Purifoy.
