My alma mater didn't have a football team this season. Next season they will be back though. They did have a nice win against LSU back in 2000.

Best opponent? Y'all beat them equally as badly as we beat Arkansas on the road. Bama's toughest game was undoubtedly at LSU, then Ole Miss.

LSU never got inside the Alabama 30 yard line dude

The best any of bama's other opponent's can do record-wise is 9 wins -- a full 2 wins shy of WKU's mark. LSU's ceiling is 8 wins, and ole Miss isn't even in a bowl game.
Edit - I forgot USC. They can get to 10 wins, and they also beat Washington. If they win the Rose bowl, they will take the crown as bama's best opponent before bowl season.

So you are saying Bama has a shitty offense too? I agree with that.

Isn't LSU 7-4 with 1 game to go?

I thought you meant best game, not best opponent. Last year WKU was 12-2 and we beat them 48-20. Best opponent record wise, but not the best team

I do think WKU is a good team. But I was really just trolling. I think the LSU and Ole Miss games were the best games, in all seriousness.

Jonathan Allen stated that the best O-line Bama faced all year was UK

You're really analyzing this too much.

What does that have to do with LSU never getting inside Bama's 30 yard line? But, since you asked, let's compare offensive performances.
Alabama reached the LSU 24 and missed a field goal.
Alabama reached the LSU 1 and turned the ball over on downs.
Alabama reached the LSU 21 and scored a touchdown.
Alabama reached the LSU 7 and kicked a field goal.
Alabama reached the LSU 24 and took two mercy knees.
LSU got a turnover at the Alabama 30, went backwards, and missed a field goal. For the rest of the game, LSU had ONE possession that ended on the Alabama side of the 50 yard line.
One offense was relatively effective but failed on numerous scoring opportunities. The other offense didn't exist at all. LSU was very fortunate that the game was only 10-0. It could have been a whole lot worse.

quote:On what planet is this true? Ole Miss had a big lead and played Bama within one score. LSU never threatened offensively and Bama beat them by 10 covering the spread as well. Clearly LSU was better than Ole Miss. The game between those schools showed us that. Still, no matter how you slice it up, Ole Miss played better against Bama and was a tougher opponent than LSU on the day they played Bama.
