That would be a great hire. I like Dana Ford also. My only question about Ford is recruiting, he's never recruited at a P5 school.

32 might be a little too young for this kind of gig.

I like that Keatts has a friendly, seemingly honest face.

He's 44. Perfect age to command respect, but still has youthful vibrance.

He has a proven track record of getting good results.

He's spent a considerable amount of time at a military academy. I like that.

Black.

He checks all the realistic boxes we could hope for.

Billy Donovan was A little younger. But he had time on staff at Kentucky.

Didn't know that.

Played in the NBA. Spent 5 years at the premier P5 program. Lil different situation.

With my very little knowledge of all this, Keatts is my early pick.

Maybe a young assistant at a top school, like Duke. That would be ideal.

I don't get the Jacobson love. He makes a tournament run about once every 3-4 years. Has several seasons on below 20 wins.

It's Northen Iowa. He has .654 winning percentage. He has 1 year of less then 20 wins since he his first 2. Where he was rebuilding. He has a sweet 16 appearance. I think he should get an interview.

Keatts can coach and recruit. Don't see any real down side.

Here's where I'm at

1. Marshall
2. Keatts
3.
4.
5.

I can see the marketing now.

Jeff Capel - because a Duke assistant can't be spectacularly bad twice for Mizzou.

Capel has some appeal to me.

HC experience. Ace recruiter.

I know how it ended at OU, but he seems to have successfully rebuilt himself after that fiasco.

I get the appeal. I'm wary of assistants whose success may be their HC's success à la Josh McDaniels.

I'm always wary of that as well, but he had the ball rolling at OU before it all fell apart.

Absolutely zero chance Marshall would take this job. Zero
