There's an understanding among universities that no team within the same state of an existing team will be invited.
That's why FSU & Clemson haven't already been invited.

I think the next expansion will be into Virginia and Texas. Both have large TV Markets and would allow for some geographical competition.

it has two teams from TN, MS and AL. guess i don't get why the other states can't have two
