I dunno man.....injury bug caught up with the Vols. Vol fans would no more as to if he is recruiting up to their expectations and developing them.
They played pretty well first half of the season...a little shaky but they won. They lost an OT game to a hot Aggie team on the road then got mudholed by Bama.....but everyone is getting mudholed by Bama.....USCe and Vandy are sort of head scratchers....but that Bama loss and with the injuries I think the team just quit on him....
I think 9-4 (10-4) if he wins his bowl is a little harsh to fire him for particularly if the recruiting class is shaping up nicely. It's not like he had a Charlie Strong type season.

USCe and Vandy are downright bedshittings. Our backups should be good enough to beat both of those teams. Never should've happened once, but it happened twice. Teams as talented as this one have absolutely NO excuse for letting wins slip through the cracks this late in the season against teams this mediocre.
Also we're ranked around #10 in the country in recruiting, but that's more based off quantity than quality. That'll slip as other teams fill out their classes with better players that UT missed out on.
Long story short, it's not looking good for Lyle.
