I think OSU is fighting a bit of an uphill battle this year, not that they can't win of course.
OSU's defense this year is extremely fast sideline to sideline, which actually seems to fit well against Bama's 2016 offense, which is more predicated on the zone read outside QB runs than in the past, and less on the 'run derrick henry 40 times up the gut'
OSU's offense has been so hit or miss this year. Their RT has been abused at times, and Meyer and the offensive braintrust have refused to figure out ways to alleviate the problems. Barrett has been hesitating too long, which has exasperated the RT problems.
If they played today, I think Bama wins something in the 21-13 mold, which is right at the Vegas line. However, Meyer uses the bowl prep time better than anyone, and OSU's defense is more opportunistic than anyone Bama has faced, so they can turn one bad throw into 6 points (much like Bama can do on the other side)
