It's hard to be exclusively a defensive coach in football these days. It's obvious that Saban has learned about offensive play from his many stops. Kiffin isn't the mastermind that everyone gives him credit for being.

Realistically, you'd have to explore Pruitt's knowledge offensively and defensively. And even then, does he have the stuff to manage a program?

Saban was a High School QB so I think he qualifies as having background on both sides of the ball.
