I'm not saying hire Bobby Petrino. I'm saying given the talent and the situation he stepped into, the man has never coached his team out of a win like we have seen twice (clemson/UGA) possibly three times (Ta&m) this season. I'm saying hire someone that has a similar attitude regarding wining and the brain to adapt to changing circumstances.

The thing is there's no one out there that is obvious. There is no "super coach" like Saban that is sitting somewhere waiting to be hired away. Any coach we hire is going to be an unknown commodity. Do we really need to go through that right now?

I say let's just wait out Saban's tenure with Gus. If a super coach comes along in the meantime, jump at him.

Saban could be here 10 more years. He literally has to do nothing but sit back and let the 5*s come to him. When he leaves Dabo steps in and continues to beat our arse.

College football has changed dramatically in the last few years. Saban knew this was coming so he went out and got Lane Kiffin to light up scoreboards.

We stuck with Malzahns stone-age offense and you're seeing the result. Malzan done this to himself by not adapting. His offense will be the death of him at Auburn which is ironic.

Everything was good until multiple key players got injured so you can't blame that on the coach. Yes it'd be nice to have a competent backup QB and/or a larger starting QB that is less injury prone I'm confident this is (and always has been) a top priority for Gus.

From a fans perspective, it appears this way. But an intelligent AD should be able to pick out certain points from a sit down interview with a candidate and get a better idea of what a coaches ceiling is. For instance, after interviewing Gus, there should've been some red flags pulled over his inability to adapt...something we see Saban do on offense and defense.

If we asked Gus if he would be open to drastically changing his offense if our opponents effectively figure out how to limit it, we might've gained a better perspective on what we're dealing with now.

Ability to recruit, develop players, adapt to the game, and run a clean program are priority.
