We fire him and we are fricking our program worse than it is now, and look around, not a whole lot of happy fan bases in the SEC right now. We aren't unique.

Gus, Sumlin, Butch and Freezus are all on the hot seat for next year. Ole Piss is fricked with the NCAA.

Just not a huge pool of legit coaches out there that can come in immediately and win 9-10 games in the west.

If Bert can pull his fat stubborn head out of his arse and right the defensive ship, we could be right back in the hunt for 2nd in the west.

FWIW

Charlie Partrige has been shitcanned at FAU

I get that people are bitching about the "hump" and his ability over it.

This reminds me of Stan Heath's tenure. Came into a program in disarray, set many marks for the worst, hit the infamous hump and was fired. None of the candidates to replace him would have done better, but all offered a change in offense. The guy who got the job did not better than Stan would have done and ended up putting the program back in disarray while racking up worst ever losses.

There is no sure thing out there right now, fleck? Is he the next Doren, can't miss who hasn't provided a quick turn around at his p5 job?

Use to be the mid-major coach had to prove himself over a span of seasons, like Meyer/Petersen did, now mid-majors are landing big jobs for having a good season (Freeze, Gus, Herman, etc). This has led to big contracts in the coaches favor for unknown and largely unproven talent. What's worse is the teams going after coordinators who normally should have no reason to hire coordinators, but this unknown is fired as a safer gamble then the hot midmajor name (smart, muschamp, etc) call this the dabo effect. Now LSU has eroded it even further by gambling on a position coach.

It's amazing if you think about it.
