If the Heisman is a team award then why shouldn't it be displayed?

Display the trophy, just don't make a statue for the guy that wasn't even the best player on the team.

Often the best player on the team doesn't equal the most impactful person on the team or the most memorable person on the team.

Would you say Percy Harvin was the best player for UF in 07 when Tebow won the Heisman?

Almost a decade later, If you asked younger Gator folks to name the most important player of the 2000s. They would pick the most popular, widely known person which is what the Heisman Trophy helps to do.

I agree, that a Heisman Trophy maybe shouldn't be the criteria but lines must be drawn somewhere. Looking at pure performances, Derrick Thomas should have a statue although he isn't a Heisman winner.
