are you serious 2011 LSU, 2011 BAMA, and 2016 Bama would buttrape that team. Yea go ahead and run the triple option on this Bama D it will work out real well.

What a dumb comment. Most agree that Saban had his best D ever in 2011 and that D was one of the best of all time. Only ONE team scored more than 14 points on them. That team was Georgia Southern and their triple option attack. They scored 21 (they had 14 at half). They ran for over 300 yards on one of the best defenses ever and averaged 7.7 ypc. That is almost unimaginable. Even if Bama was overlooking them and came out flat, you would never expect that Bama D to give up that many yards. And Georiga Southern threw for 1 completion in that game.

1995 Nebraska was built like Bama, but had speed like Oregon a few years back. They were incredible and any team that could put 62 points up on an undefeated Steve Spurrier team in the NC proved all they would ever need to prove because that UF team was awesome. No team would destroy that team. They could have been beaten like any team, but no one came close.

another thing that almost ALWAYS gets overlooked is that nebraska defense was pretty friggin good in their own right. In 1995 they finished:

2nd in rushing defense (78 ypg)
13th in total defense (294 ypg)
4th in scoring defense (13 ppg)

with how quickly and easily they scored on offense you'd think with all the extra possessions their defense played they'd get gassed but not really. They were susceptible to the pass, but again that is not bama's strength this year.
