That '95 Nebraska team would get fricking obliterated by this year's Alabama team and the 2011 versions of Alabama and LSU.

Once again, a 1AA team with 1AA recruiting and 1AA athletes from statesboro GA ran for 300 yards against that 11 bama defense. You can say "they overlooked them" or "we had just played LSU" but the facts played out on the field. That team threw for like 20 yards on bama but still put up over 300 yards and scored 21 points. It's simply illogical to think that the best option offense in history that had their way with multiple top 10 opponents would just be stopped dead in their tracks.

Educated observations are still worth consideration. Its obvious that this was sort of "trap game." That game was coming off of two of the most physical games Bama played all year. MSU didn't have a great record that year, but they barely lost all but one of the games that they lost(Arkansas, the weekend after the Bama game.) They were a tough outing that year.

That Georgia Southern team was tough, no doubt, but that game was never in question, and our team played flat out un-inspired. To use that one game as the basis of your argument is not very convincing.
