All you'll get here is people agreeing with you without much of anything behind why or what's wrong with either.

I'm like Commodus, just trying to give the people what they want. and the people want blood.

Seriously though, we can talk about minutiae and analyze all aspects of the system to figure out why it doesn't work. Or we can look at the engineer of the system and see that he doesn't know how to make adjustments to compensate for the lack of success of the system.

There are some teams you just can't beat no matter what, due to injury, youth, etc. But you shouldn't lose to a team that is proven to be inferior in talent and results.

The fact that he same cog seems to fail week in and week out without improvement or adjustment makes me think that the engineer is too inept, or in Sumlin a case too drunk, to adapt.

What's been the cog for TAMU that's failed week in and week out? I mean for us we've had a lot of moving parts and I can't really say that there's been one thing this year that keeps failing so much as there have been many things. It's been a lot of different issues from the OL to injuries to certain coaching aspects/playcalls to attitude (aka Hurd).

TAMU today reminded me of some of those early games when it was clear that this team wasn't like the others we'd seen under CBJ -- we'd bought into our own hype, played sloppy and had an identity/attitude problem we hadn't seen in any of the other teams under the current regime (far less talented teams didn't have these problems or the lack of self-discipline we saw out of this one). We were lucky enough to escape those games with wins before what was brewing caught up to us at SC.

Are you expecting TAMU to go into free fall now or will you recover? Because, record wise you're still doing pretty good despite having a really bad loss today. I honestly don't know enough about the state of your program -- where it's been and how far along it is from there to really say. I know y'all have had yearly meltdowns with Sumlin's teams and a whole lot of drama but I'd thought that a lot of that was behind you since Knight seemed like a stabilizing force in the locker room (locker room issues/discipline have really held y'all back the past few years just from what I've seen).

At least we are entertained.
