It's time to rewrite the depth chart.

This is one of the most undisciplined teams I've seen. If the line doesn't like the scheme they don't play. If jamon and beans doesn't feel like making a block he doesn't. Protect the ball? Don't feel like it. Stupid penalties? Whatever.

Publicly rewrite the depth chart. Put in whoever will listen to the coach. Put in whoever wants to play the hardest. Sit the rest of their asses down. You want back in? Your going to have to earn it. Starting in practice, and then in spot playing time, until you prove you deserve it.

The season is a lost cause anyway. They have the players to be pretty good next season, but they need to get control of these guys this season

Why do you think Harold has been a starter and gotten major snaps.
Same is true with Garrett, although he has potential to be a solid ILB.

Yeah J'Mon is a cancer can see it from his play alone. Also we are better when Lock is not locked onto Moore. This type of attack needs to spread the ball around.

quote:

“The message is, don’t be so rigid,” head coach Jack Del Rio said. “Yeah, you have the B-gap, but you can whip that guy and go make a play in the A or B or C or somewhere else in the backfield. Sometimes young guys are so conscientious on being exactly where they have to be that they just don’t play football. So, we want our guys to express themselves, want them to let it flow and just trust their instincts to help play football.”

Even at the pro level it isn't easy to change schemes. Jihad Ward is a 2nd round draft pick trying to learn gap responsibility. He's doing exactly the same thing the Mizzou DL is doing, thinking and not playing. It's not about not buying in, it's very hard to make the switch. Even Pro Bowler Khalil Mack had a tough time, Del Rio took over the defense and now has Mack attacking. Before taking over the defense the Raiders had the 32nd ranked defense, Del Rio has re-installed some attacking elements and the defense played better last week.

Point is, it's not as easy as flipping a switch. Even the best athletes in the sport can struggle with a change of scheme.

Great idea, but I don't have faith in wiBO to install discipline on this team.
