Somewhere between his foundation, his faith, and rubbing shoulders with Florida Georgia Line/NASCAR drivers, I think he forgot that he's the head coach of the Ole Miss Football team.

I think his problem is he has delegated control to people that are incompetent (i.e. his coaching staff). He's not some 14-hour a day at the football facility guy obsessive freak show like Saban.

Can't deny it's worked for him so far, but I think he knows that will have to change in order for his team to make the leap.

If he wants Ole Miss to be average, he won't make any changes. If he wants Ole Miss to be above average and a Top 20 program, he'll have to fire some loafers in his staff. If he wants Ole Miss to be a perennial title threat, the system needs to be completely re-tooled.

There are way too many inefficiencies at current state to expect this program to win the West.

Which is what he says his goal is. So he better start making those changes.

Some of you guys are idiots. We were a 4th and 25 from representing the West in the SECCG last season. While I agree, now is the time to make some changes. I'm not in the business of questioning the guy that has taken this program to heights it hasn't been in 60 years. Yet some of these damn entitled arse fans act as if they somehow now know what is best for the program. Let the man do his damn job.

Ditto. Teenagers and country boys in the sticks using dial-up on the board drive me crazy.

Back to back Cotton Bowls. We should keep our mouths shut until the program is in the shitter and we are losing to Jacksonville State.

I think I said the same thing after the 2009 Cotton Bowl.

This isn't about 2015 tho, moreso 2017 and beyond.

Our current recruiting class is a mess and you can't have off-years in recruiting, especially with self-imposed sanctions.

Our assistants that aren't pulling in croots have to go - it's really that simple.

I just traveled across the country to witness that loss in Baton Rouge in person. If a man makes $4.5M a year to coach and recruit talent I can criticize him.

We were outcoached on Saturday. We've been out recruited for four years now. This class will be worse than what we did in 2012. The future looks awful.

4-6 teams in the west. Lost a lot of defensive battles in state with MSU and everyone else.

Don't get me wrong. I don't want to be outrecruited by anybody. However, outside of Arkansas (what the hell is going on there I have no idea) and the fiasco against Memphis last year we have beaten everybody we outrecruit and several more that we do not over the last couple years. Now, since we play in the West we aren't gonna be able to win/lose just down recruiting lines because if we do we will always finish behind Bama, Auburn, LSU, and A&M. But let's face it, we are expecting something that purely the numbers and ratings say we shouldn't be able to do.

People really have turned on the coaches since we won the Sugar Bowl.

I always think firing coaches mid season is the wrong move, but we need to this year, and very badly so we can stop the bleeding. Recruiting every year seems to start earlier and earlier, and it'll be too late if we wait. A solid DC can also help us win more games this year too, as Wommack has proven he can't cut it. He's had a year since we lost to Arkansas to figure out how to stop the run and short passes, yet we still look clueless a year later. We've got to get an energetic recruiter to come in as DC, as well as some support coaches for him asap to save the class and look toward the future. We can have the best QB and receivers in the country, but with a shitty Big12 defense we are not winning the West. Oh, and we need some more offensive lineman badly. Little can be the anchor for the next two years, but he can't block for everyone else.

Wanna know what's miserable? Arguably the best person in the country for us would be Orgeron and a few young up and coming assistants to help him. With his recruiting and defense paired with Hugh's offense, we could be dangerous.

I'm beating a dead horse and posted this in the wrong topic, but screw it. Two fire Wommack threads isn't enough, so I'll derail all of them and talk about that. Sorry.

Hopefully the weekly melt crew doesn't click on our board and sift threw these threads. There's some gold scattered around in these that I hope stays hidden.

Well we also have the 12th ranked class right now. Only ahead of mizzou and vandy. Only 1 4* committed.

Yeah you're right, we've definitely improved on last season's success snd should not complain because right now we're on track.

This thread needs a sideline body language expert to tell us how Freeze doesn't look like he cares.
