Jalen Hurts as athletic as he is seems to be a liability in the downfield passing game.

That seems to be the only weakness I've seen.

Hurts has thrown some excellent long balls. He has been a little off the last couple of games. There hasn't been as much of a need for the big plays though.

I don't think he's a liability, but he is erratic and inconsistent passing the ball right now. He's a true freshman, and I think the pundits are probably correct in that he has to adjust to the speed of the receivers and the defense. That said, I think AJ McCarron is still the best qb of the Saint Nick Saban era. Hurts may be that before he's through, and I think he will, but he's not there yet.

As for the original question: This team has to win a national title before it can even be considered the best Saban team.
