Sounds like Florida may have just been smarter than Louisiana. Sorry all you have to live for is football but calling off a game when there's a category 4, at one point category 5, hurricane potentially knocking on your front door seems perfectly reasonable.
It was noted that SC was hit worse by the storm than Florida was. But a game was played there on Sunday.

It wasn't projected to. On Thursday it looked like the eye of Matthew would roll right through Orlando and move North. That would've put the worst of it through Gainesville as well. Canceling the game was prudent.
