Arkansas QB was making some great passed and their receivers some great catches. Anytime UA had a busted coverage they seemed to pick up on it and make a great play.

I really don't believe it is. It's one that Arkansas got away with.

So, what then? Block in the back?

The play when our Dline held down Hurts? You think that is a hold?
If the ref really felt he went out of the way, you could maybe say unnecessary roughness but anyone who thinks that is a hold doesn't understand the rules.

How many starting o-line is UT missing? Is the first string center going to play? App State embarrassed UT's o-line. What do you think Tim Williams and Ryan Anderson are going to do to them? Dobbs will have less than two seconds in the pocket. He might be able to extend some plays with his legs, but I don't recommend it, if Foster is near.
Our OL is much improved since then. The problem was that we were missing our starter at RT who had to have his knee scoped and lots of guys were moved around to try and compensate. Our then center was also playing on two bum ankles.
As for missing starters, Jashon will be back at G but Boulware proved to be a road grader in his place. Weisman has a concussion and will play if possible but keep in mind that Coleman Thomas who came into the game to replace him has been our starting center in the past (he's just played terribly this season because of injury). That said, Thomas graded out higher than any other OL that game and he may have finally healed enough to take his job back.

Because the refs kept bailing them out! It was 42-17 at one point.

Holding
Just because his hand fit around the back of his neck doesn't make it holding.
I honestly don't think that play was illegal. Like viceman said, "that's football". If he would have tried to crawl on his back it would have been a clumsy mess.

UT's o-line has improved, but they haven't faced a d-line like this. Do you understand how hard it is to replace a center?
Replacing a center with a starting center is actually pretty easy. CT only lost his job because he was injured. Weisman is not normally our center.

As I recall the refs totally trick fricked Hogs with a shitty phantom holding call in the first half. Took a TD off the board.
Yes, and that umpire (Wiehe) has been banned from working Arkansas games ever again. Per the SEC office.

We're out Danny O'Brien (likely due to a failed drug test) but otherwise ok at DL. We also get back our starting MLB for this game (he's been out since Tech).
EDIT: We're most vulnerable at corner since we lost Cam. Maybe at one of the safety spots depending on Abernathy's status.

No it isn't and has been example earlier in this thread why it isn't, I'm not sure how someone could think that. Offensive lineman do something similar all the time when they get the Dlineman on the ground.

there is a picture that shows clearly it as a hold. go to th Bama page and they have it from the video of the game. CBS kept showing one angle only
