But it's going to be hard for the defense to be consistently better than it has been. If it is, great, but it was performing pretty well over the past several years.

I'm not panicking after 5 games. I was panicking as soon as it was announced in fall camp, but that doesn't change the fact that it's been a massive failure thus far.

It's a massive failure if is isn't working in year 3.

At this point, you have the captain of the defense essentially stating that there are players that aren't interested in learning their craft to make the team better, that they want to do what is familiar. These players that have NFL dreams are going to have a season full of tape of them not doing their jobs in an NFL scheme. They are going to get plenty of questions why if they are lucky enough to get interviewed by NFL squads. It would be in their best interests if they start doing their jobs better instead of wanting it simple.

Exactly. I've yet to hear or read anything, that can fully explain, why the change was needed, at this point and time..... A leaked play book..... BS

One would think it would have been a smart move. to take a year, and work to fix what was broken.... Which of course was the offense.

All I hope for the rest of the season, is to see game to game improvement.

Not holding my breath for a bowl, unless we see some real consistent improvement on the field.
