While general tox doesn't usually check for it. He may have raised red flags at the hospital (not behaved on par with his injury). Could also be a random that only now came back.

I'm not a doctor either, but I would think that even if the general tox doesn't specifically check for cocaine that something would come back on general tox that suggests SOMETHING is in his system that should not be.

That's the only thing that makes sense to me. It's too soon with UT just going home Sunday for a drug test from the hospital to be completed and he's dismissed on Monday.
