This kid is going to be a straight stud in the years to come. If we had an oline, he'd easily get 100+ a game.

He's young but we need to be feeding him the rock. Let him eat. We threw Lattimore into the fire as an every down back. I know he is kinda coming off the groin injury but seriously, get him more touches.

I'm kinda in this camp as well. Clearly a talented young man. Definitely needs to get a few more touches per game. My main grief with the run game is their insistence to attempt to run Turner between the tackles. Make no mistake about it, Dowdle is the only eligible RB that we have that can do that at this point and that is mostly on the OL.

Dowdle and Turner could eventually turn out to be a decent 1-2 punch .... if we ever give them a decent OLine to run behind.

I wonder why he changed to 23?

I wondered about that too - and I've been trying to find out a definitive answer because it was kind of strange once Marcus had tweeted-out support for Rico ... and then Rico changes.
I've gotten two answers, both from good sources, so far but neither is a sure thing.
1 - I was first told that Dowdle had reconsidered and decided he didn't want to be compared to Lattimore - he wanted to pave his own path.
2 - I was told that we have a recruit on the horizon, supposed to be the hottest thing since sliced bread, and that he is saying he's coming here and he wants #21. I wouldn't think it would be Zamir White because he wears #34 and he's probably going to land at Georgia. So I have no idea who a recruit could be that is good enough to save the #21 ... doesn't have to be a RB I suppose, could be a WR, DB, who knows.

It would have to be an offensive guy for it to matter for Dowdle to change. You can have 2 #21's. As far as who the recruit is... now you have my attention.

That's a teaser if ever I've heard one.

Rivals 5-star running back Ratphuc Hobley.

Did he finally qualify?
Last I heard he was headed to Florida Gulf Coast and wanted to wear #39.

How many yards does he go for this weekend? I am thinking he'll go over 100 with Turner not far behind.

The least amount of rushing yards given up by them is 107. Half of their games they have given up 200 yds+. However, they are also giving up 250+ ypg through the air with Louisiana Tech POUNDING them for 491 through the air last week. This however is the same La Tech that held within 1 point of Arkansas. I'm on board with your assessment with Dowdle getting 100 the hard way and Turner breaking a couple of bigger runs for similar yardage.

I agree. If our OL can open holes and give him just a little space, he'll make huge plays. He has elite speed for a RB and he's very elusive for his weight.
