Does anyone rememeber 2005???????

When Katrina hit what happened.....

lemme tell you

LSU moved the season opener from tiger stadium and flew across the country to Tempe to play a game. guess what familes werent flwon out to tempe.... come on

they moved the N texas game to the bye

and moved the Tenn game to monday

LSU didnt get a bye week at that year.

this has situtation is not a new thing.

You are talking about what happened after a hurricane. There was no unkown then. You were in clean up mode at that time. This is a devastating storm that will hit Gainesville less than 24 hours before a football game is played. Lives are at stake. A football game is meaningless right now. It's all about priorities right now.

You idiot. This is exactly why the Tennessee game was moved to a Monday night because of the pending storm Rita. Same exact situation. LSU can do it why can't uf?

yes, BEFORE the game when it is even easier to get out folks out harm's way while everyone is being evacuated and be at a safe place DURING and immediately AFTER the storm and a place where the game can be played. But no incentive to do any of that when you don't want to play the game and see the storm as an easy excuse to chicken out.

You know as well as I do this has nothing to do with that.

cancelling this game as opposed to moving it, does nothing to protect lives or help minimize damage or anything of that nature. Honestly to hide behind that as an excuse, because you aren't in the best condition to play is shameful.

You know if Florida was chasong wins to win the East and were fit to play while LSU was banged up, this game would be happening at any cost.
