Jesus, you're really stupid.
Columbia South Carolina is 300 feet above sea level, and experienced record flooding last year for Hurricane Joaquin - you know, the hurricane they moved the football game for.
I'm not saying it WILL happen to Gainesville, just that it could, and you don't know if it will until it's too late.
But carry on with your whistling past the graveyard.
Is it ever okay to laugh at people after a catastrophe? Because Florida fans are really begging for it here.

Show should go on then.

Shouldn't be a problem to have the show tonight.

Weatherman
As of Thursday 0800 EDT (that's AM for dumbasses), 10/6/2012, your little storm's eye is predicted to be 70 miles from Gainesville early Saturday AM, with GAMETIME at 1100.Tropical force winds extend out 160 miles. This is the "largest mass evacuation" in Florida's history-and this INDECISION is illustrative of you and your leaders' extremely ignorant thought processes, replete with little or no critical thinking skills, no understanding of risk/reward ratios, overconfidence in the predictive abilities of the hurricane center with no thought or experience about a storm's aftermath, no regard to a traveling team, their traveling fans or the home teams fans.
People get sued for less; those responsible should be made known to the public.

Saying that the facts point to the game should be played in florida on Saturday is like saying the facts point to LSU in 2011 had a better record and beat Alabama so LSU should be national champions.

Was he in caddyshack ?

He'll be cancelled in a few more years.
That will make Foley 1 for 4 in hiring football coaches.

I don't blame Mac for cancelling.
He's probably tired from owning the SEC offices, getting his team ready for a game and preparing his home and family for 39 MPH gusts.

If you think 3-5 inches of rain caused flooding then you don't know how flooding works
You're arguing with idiots. One L5U poster predicted 6-7 FEET of water in Gainesville from the tidal surge. They're clueless. They think you're in the middle of a delta like NOLA. 3-5 inches of rain posts zero threat to playing the game.
OTOH power outages, downed trees everywhere if it happens...different story.
