Between the 10 and 20 is a net 18 to 28 yard gain. You don't really start putting pressure on the QB /offense until you get it inside the 5. I guess we don't know how confident the staff was as to our ability was to do so.

But, I would think the purpose would be to make the offense go farther for a score....and if you can get it to the 10 that's even better.

They probably weren't very confident in their ability to make the 4th and 5, kick a field goal OR punt inside the 10! That's kind of a no mans land. They will get second guessed no matter what decision they make. And, anybody second guessing them could make a very valid point. It's just a no win situation.
