You say that, but it's not true. Study the facts and you will see, Memphis actually has a wide variety of violence in many areas. Hence the reason it's per captia is so high over a large area. It's not to down Memphis, it's just one of those it is what it is. I enjoyed my time in Memphis however, I was cautious as well.

Shelby County is OVERRUN with crime. I promise you. It rates VERY HIGH in every single criminal category known to man.

I'm sure. You think NOLA doesn't?You go to the French Quarter you better stay within a block are so of Bourbon and Canal and don't cross 90 unless you are in a car. How about Houston? I listen to news every day here and there are shootings all over the city. How about New York? I've been there I wouldn't venture to far away from times square are get caught on the subway late at night.
